Lisa and Greg Ostlund – 6/7/14 – Aria
Lisa and Greg went to the same high school, I actually introduced them one evening when I brought Lisa over to Greg’s house. They started talking, and eventually started dating. Their love blossomed, and after many years together, they decided it was time to tie the knot.
Aria is a beautiful space that I have seen before, but on the 7th of June, it looked stunning. Different types of spring flowers covered the tables and dimly light chandeliers hung from the ceiling. My favorite touch was the sequenced pink table cloth on which the place cards were arranged in a lovely circle. Guests were greeted into the ceremony by the sounds of a string quartet playing some of Lisa and Greg’s favorite songs by The Beatles. Candles lined the isles, and after the guests were seated, Lisa and her cathedral length veil, headed down the isle accompanied by her father. The ceremony itself was short but so very sweet, and after, hor d’oeuvres and cocktails were served as guests gathered in the main hall while the main room was set for dinner.
Dinner was lovely, and while their guests ate, many friends and family toasted the bride and groom with stories from the past. Some expected, some unexpected, but either way, everyone’s words held meaning. Greg had a Swedish cake made on the side to represent his heritage, it tasted like marzipan. They did their first dance to a live band, and the night ended shortly after the father of the bride got on stage and sang to his daughter and the wedding guests. Lisa and Greg’s wedding was stunning. From the decor to the love in the room, these two will be be together forever. Update: they now are parents to a beautiful daughter, Hannah, and are enjoying everyday together!
