Landmark Center Wedding / Caitlin + Eric
Caitlin and Eric met while running cross country at Gustavus College. They were on the same team and made a lot of mutual friends which lead them to get to know each other. They still enjoy running together and jump at any chance to be with each other outdoors. The past couple years have been huge for them. They moved to Rochester, bought a home, and vowed to be forever together in front of their closest friends and family at their Landmark Center wedding.
Caitlin and her side of the bridal party started at the St. Paul hotel while Eric and his groomsmen dressed in a private room at the Landmark center. Caitlin’s mom, Mary, arrived to help Caitlin put on her dress and final touches. Once Eric was ready, he walked and across the park and waited for Caitlin downstairs, in the garden of the St. Paul hotel.
After meeting eyes for the first time fully dressed, Caitlin and Eric took a walk through Rice Park to meet their wedding party. It was a grey and chilly November day, but the everyone’s mood was bright and cheery. After photos with the wedding party and family, Caitlin and Eric snuck back inside to relax and refresh before the ceremony.
Friends and family took their seats as Eric’s mother escorted him down the aisle. Caitlin’s parents gave her away after walking her down the aisle together. Their siblings shared readings to start the ceremony off. Caitlin and Eric exchanged vows then lit the unity candle before sealing their marriage with a kiss. They walked back down the aisle, hand and hand, ready to get the party started.
Their guests made their way upstairs while the ceremony space was transformed into the reception hall. After the tables were set, guests made their way back downstairs for dinner, toasts, and dancing. The dessert table was filled with yummy cupcakes, but the cake was saved for the bride and groom to cut, slice and share.
After the formal dances, the Gustavus grads gathered outside for a sparkler send off with the bride and groom. It had started to rain which made the sky twinkle when lit by the light from the sparklers. It was hand down the most magical ending to any wedding night! There’s something so romantic about sharing an umbrella with your lover in the rain…!
Caitlin and Eric- you both are so amazing! I am so so grateful that we crossed paths years ago at Nicole and Kelly’s wedding, and that we could be apart of your special day! You both are so calm yet so full of energy, we couldn’t stop smiling- what a pleasure to work with you both and your families! We wish you nothing but joy and happiness in your life together!
