Lake Nokomis Winter Engagement Session / Mary + Ryan
Mary and Ryan are fun-loving people who “tend to let our two dogs run the show.” They love gardening, hiking, and anything outdoors they can do with their pups. Their sweet dogs tagged along for their Lake Nokomis winter engagement session.
It snowed almost a foot the day before their Lake Nokomis winter engagement session. This made the trails harder to navigate, so Ryan brought a shovel to clear a path for Mary. It was so sweet.
They walk the lake path frequently, so we met at one of their favorite views of the lake. Thankfully, the sun was out and provided some warmth. Mary and Ryan also brought a warm, plaid blanket to cuddle in for a few photos.
Before meeting their pups, we stopped at one other area for a few photos on and around one of their favorite bridges. They brought a bottle of bubbly, which we popped once we were in the woods. Champagne in the winter makes everything better.
Finally, we met their pups who were hanging out with a friend. It was their first time having professional photos done. Mary and Ryan wrapped handkerchiefs around them that read “Dad asked” and “Mom said yes,” which were adorable.
Mary and Ryan will be married this weekend at the Lake Elmo Pavilion. The surroundings will look much different than their Lake Nokomis winter engagement session. It looks like it may be a lot warmer too (wink wink). We all wish their pups could tag along for the big day, but they will be pampered and relaxing with a friend while their humans get married.
Do you love the idea of a snowy winter engagement session? If your pups love playing in the snow, it can be a great, fun way to capture the moment. Check out this winter engagement session at Interstate Park –
