I turned 30! Does this mean I have to focus more on acting like an adult?
Hello and welcome to my blog! This is my first post that does not feature my photography so I feel like I should introduce myself. My name is Angela Divine, and yes that is my real name! I’m a wedding and portrait photographer in Minneapolis, Minnesota but love to travel anywhere my camera is welcome. I live with my husband and our dog, Zelda, and we love spending time outdoors with her. We are taking her on her first camping trip this year, and I’m super excited to snuggle with her in our tent under the stars. I’m a huge fan of s’mores and will make them at a campfire or over the stove in my kitchen. I am currently on a hot streak and have eaten a s’more every night for the last two weeks!
This year I turned 30. The number itself is daunting. The idea of starting my age with the number three is still very scary. I didn’t want to turn 30, but what to do, it already happened. The thing that scares me the most is the idea that I have to grow up, that I have to change, that I have to focus more on acting like an adult and stop having fun. The truth is; I still love unicorns, I still own a few coloring books that I busted out the other weekend when I was with my nephews, and I still wear some of my clothes from high school. Typing this makes me feel a little less than mature, but in reality, I’m doing my best to embrace this age as a new beginning and an opportunity to redefine what the word adult means. A thirty-year-old can still wear rainbow unicorn feety pajamas and enjoy hula-hooping, right? I don’t see why not. That’s enough of me for now- I will be back posting not only my photography, but bits and pieces of my life along the way. Have a great Wednesday!
