Creekside Farm Engagement Session / Amanda + Brian
Amanda and Brian met online in 2015. They love to travel and explore the outdoors together. Being nature lovers, they wanted their engagement session to show off the incredible fall colors that come but once a year in Minnesota, and Creekside Farm was just the place.
Creekside Farm hosts everything from weddings and events to the occasional portrait and engagement session. I’ll actually be photographing a wedding there in a few weeks, so I was excited to scope it out last year during the fall.
The fall colors were in full swing, and the sun was starting to get low in the sky. Overall, it couldn’t have been more perfect.
The owner of Creekside Farms met us in the parking lot and let us jump onto her cart. She took us to one of Amanda and Brian’s favorite spots, which is a swing that overlooks the entire property. She left us there to explore the hay bales and field where the golden light was spilling from behind the trees.
We took a walk down the trails into the forest. The leaves crunched underneath our feet, and we could smell that crisp fall air that comes once a year. We made our way down to the creek to take in the last bit of the sunset.
Amanda and Brian will be getting married at a ceremony in a few weeks at a family friend’s home. They are hosting a reception after at North Fork Golf Club. We are crossing our fingers and toes for great weather, just like they had for their Creekside Engagement Session.
Fall engagement sessions are dreamy in Minnesota. I get asked often about when are the best times for fall engagement photos. It all depends on the location and weather but, typically, the second week of October tends to be pretty perfect around the metro. Here is another fall engagement session to check out.
