Carlos Creek Winery Wedding / Lisa + Luke
Lisa and Luke met at work. What started as coworkers became a friendship and then that soon blossomed into a relationship. I’ve actually known Lisa since we were both very little. We grew up down the street from each other. Our families became close friends, and I have fond memories of playing Mario Brothers in her basement and making Creepy Crawlers in her kitchen. Those were the days! I’m so happy to see she’s found her perfect match- Luke is awesome! He’s outgoing and silly while Lisa is soft and relaxed. These two kind souls are truly meant to be, and they decided to make it official in Alexandria, Minnesota for their Carlos Creek Winery Wedding.
Alexandria, Minnesota is one of my favorite towns in the state. Besides it’s beautiful chain of lakes, it has it’s small town charm with places like Chet’s for dinner and Ron’s Warehouse for random used goods. If you have never been, put it on your list of places to visit in the summer.
The end of October was a bit chillier than expected. The night before their wedding day, it snowed, and the next day was still cold and windy. Carlos Creek Winery has great places for indoor photos, so we only popped outside for a few minutes before the ceremony and for the sunset.
Lisa and her side of the bridal party sipped white wine as they finished getting dressed, while Luke and his groomsmen shared old stories about each other over a beer. Lisa put on the final touches then met Luke in the hallway for their first look.
Luke’s eyes lit up when he saw his beautiful bride- she really did look stunning. After a few private moments together, the bridal party joined in for some pre-ceremony photos. As guests began to arrive, the bridal party tucked away so family and friends could make their way into the candlelit ceremony space at Carlos Creek Winery.
Lisa’s father walked her down the aisle, and Luke’s aunt preformed the ceremony. After their vows ring exchange, the two shared a kiss and walked back down the aisle as husband and wife. They greeted their guests for the social hour and not after long, guests made their way to their tables for dinner, cake, and toasts.
The dance floor kicked off with the happy couple followed by the father daughter dance and then the mother son. Luke’s cousin was in charge of the music and kept the party rolling long after we left.
Lisa and Luke- thank you for having us at your wedding day! It meant so much to be apart of it- from start to finish, it was beautiful! You two are perfect for one another, and we wish you many many years of love and happiness! It was so amazing to photograph your Carlos Creek Winery wedding!
