Burnsville In-Home Engagement Session / Wesley + Josh
Wesley and Josh met online and immediately fell for each other after the first date. They knew something very special was there, so the next night, Josh invited Wesley over to join his friends for a bonfire and party. Wesley fit right in and by the end of the night was referred to as Josh’s girl friend. As their relationship progressed, Wesley moved into Josh’s home in Burnsville and they added a two new furry members to the fam; Milo and Olive. The four of them live happily in their Burnsville home, so it seemed appropriate to start their engagement session in their back yard where they spend most of their time together in the summer.
Both puppies were excited to play! Wesley and Josh were also babysitting their parent’s dog as well, so it was a full blown puppy party. Their backyard has a beautiful blue deck that overlooks a fire pit and a swimming pool. There are white chairs and a yellow umbrella for lounging, and a diving board for big time splashing. It’s the perfect summer hang out.
The dogs ran from side to side, avoiding the pool, burning off their late night summer energy. We gathered them in for a few photos, then let them continue to run around the yard. Wesley and Josh watched from their favorite spot, the diving board, and snuggled each other as they watched their furry children play.
We left their home to go down to a local part and frisbee golf course for some final shots. The air from the wildfires made the air feel grey and thick, almost like fog. It’s unexpected presence made for some moody and romantic moments.
We never saw the sunset, but as it grew dark, we made our way back to the cars to part ways. Wesley and Josh were about to pick up tacos, I was jealous! We parted ways after a hug, and I’m so very excited to be working with them again next year on what is going to be one of their favorite day, their wedding day.
